Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm Tash, I live in Perth with my fiance and our border collie, Lana. I began my personal development and self care journey a few years ago and since then, I've been obsessed with reading, listening and chatting with others who have a passion for it.

You and Self Care:

What does self care mean to you?

Self care is self full. It includes activities, hobbies and investing time in things that make me feel good. It's about listening to what I need on the day whether it be a walk, time with loved ones, a cup of tea and a warm bath or a massage to name a few things.

What is your favourite self care activity?

A bubble bath by candlelight with a warm cup of tea.

What's your favourite way to ground yourself when you're feeling burnt out or anxious?

Spending time in nature and getting fresh air. I try not to take my phone with me so I can be present and become grounded again.

In a busy world, how do you practice self care consistently?

I try to do something for me each day because when I neglect my self care, I begin to get resentful and agitated. Whether it be exercising, going for a walk, reading or listening to a podcast, I make it a priority to do at least one thing.

What advice do you have for people who find it hard to practice self care

Be kind to yourself. There are days when I feel guilty for wanting to take time for myself but it's so important to make time for it not only for your mental health but so you can show up each day as your best self.

Favourite tea for relaxing?

I love a soothing lavender tea.
